The Research Development Support (RDS) team within the Office of the Vice Provost for Research assists faculty across divisions in the pursuit of federal funding for large-scale, interdisciplinary, multi-investigator research projects and centers.
We offer support throughout the entire pre-award timeline from nascent idea to grant proposal submission. We also administer the Big Ideas Generator (BIG) pilot fund program, coordinate the internal process for limited submission funding opportunities, and manage the appointment of affiliated researchers into the UChicago Consortium for Advanced Science and Engineering (CASE).
