Mission

The Proposal Pros mission is to increase the capacity for and impact of faculty research by promoting excellence in the practice and profession of research development at UChicago. The research development scope for the group spans from catalyzing new proposal ideas (pre-pre-award) to pre-award submission and review.

Research Development

Research Development broadly includes the people and activities that support faculty pursuit of external funding, including identifying and sharing funding opportunities; supporting grant and contract proposal development; facilitating research teams and collaborations; coordinating with funding agencies, institutional research administration, leadership, and federal and philanthropic relations; and providing related communications, outreach, and training.
